This is a Freight Coordinator role with Team Global Express based in Tullamarine, VIC, AU Team Global Express Role Seniority - junior More about the Freight Coordinator role at Team Global Express About the Role As a Freight Coordinator, your primary responsibility is the smooth, orderly, and safe coordination of Airport-to-airport freight cargo. This includes direct consultation with customers, acceptance/loading/release and movement of freight to and from the cargo area to the airline ramp for loading on flights as well as coordinating the use of third parties. Key responsibilities include: Full time role Weekly Rotating Roster: 04:30AM-01:30AM: Shift - 04:30AM-12:30PM: 12:00PM-20:00PM: 15:30PM-23:30: 16:30PM-00:30AM: 17:30PM-01:30AM. SAT – 07:00AM-13:00PM. Conducting safety checks on all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) prior to duties. Transmitting freight manifested information accurately and promptly. Recording and filing all relevant documents. Aiding clients in a professional manner. Developing harmonious relationships with staff and industry members. Completing Dangerous Goods Acceptance, Load Restraint and Security training and remaining compliant. Ensuring correct cargo dispatch to flights as per the relevant Airline system, Freight Manifest and Barrows Tag. All required documents, manifest and NOTOC accompany cargo and the correct barrows/ containers are presented to the relevant Airline. Support both the Supervisor and the local Branch Manager whilst offering assistance where requested from all AE staff and agents. Loading and Unloading Air Containers, manual handling, lifting(>16kg). Undertaking other duties as directed. Skills & Experience: Essential Technical Skills Minimum 12 months experience in a similar role. Understanding of aircraft load control and safety procedures. A sound knowledge of freight handling processes, and safe manual handling techniques Operational knowledge of CASA regulatory rules. Competent computer skills, including MS Office Suite. Essential Personal Attributes Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and enthusiastic approach. Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team. Service oriented in regard to dealing with clients both internal and external Qualifications Required Current Driver’s License. ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card). Forklift License.
