We’re responsible for CommBank’s Counterparty Credit Risk Management capabilities and work to create world-leading capabilities. We work across different platforms and technologies like AWS Cloud, Ab Initio, Algo Credit Management, and Generative AI. You will be responsible for: Assess business requirement inputs such as sample datasets, business rules and develop solution options. Collaborate with business stakeholders, the product owner, business analyst, architect, data engineers, and developers to deliver a holistic solution. Assist in executing and advising on solution options and implementation. Produce high-quality, sustainable solutions to meet business requirements, leveraging approved delivery frameworks and industry best practices. Provide configuration, engineering, and support in the Counterparty Credit Risk application called Algo Credit Manager Learn how to use Algo Credit Manager to meet business objectives and support team members. Contribute to domain planning and provide guidance to ensure technical deliveries align with engineering direction and strategy. Stay updated on developments within financial markets, both in business and technological terms. We are interested in hearing from people who: Exposure and experience with financial markets and credit risk associated with retail, wholesale, markets and treasury products. Possess commendable experience in consistently driving cost effective and technologically feasible solutions, while steering solution decisions across the group, to meet both operational and strategic goals is essential. Provides thought leadership and contributes to the design of technical solutions and consumption patterns, including data security and data management. Are responsible for technical governance, implementation, risk management and adoption for programs of work. Provide technical leadership and mentor other engineers in Agile teams delivering project work or initiative. Have a natural drive to educate, communicate and coordinate with different internal stakeholders and consultants. Are confident in building group data products or data assets from scratch, by integrating large sets of data derived from hundreds of internal and external sources. Technical skills We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. Experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team. Proficient in SQL scripting and understand how to build a data pipelines. Familiarity with data warehousing and relational databases using Oracle or AWS RDS. Possess ability to produce conceptual, logical and physical data models using data modelling techniques such as Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF, etc. Demonstrate expertise in design patterns (FSLDM, IBM IFW DW) and data modelling frameworks including dimensional, star and non-dimensional schemas. Working knowledge of the credit risk lifecycle. Exposure and experience to credit risk management such as credit limit and exposure aggregation. Nice to Have Skills : Experience in designing, building, and delivering enterprise-wide data ingestion, data integration and data pipeline solutions using common programming language (Scala, Java, Python, Groovy) in a Big Data and Data Warehouse platform. Experience in building data solution using AWS Cloud technology (EMR, Glue, Iceberg, Kinesis, MSK/Kafka, Redshift/PostgresSQL, DocumentDB/MongoDB, S3, etc.). Possess ability to produce conceptual, logical and physical data models using data modelling techniques such as Data Vault, Kimball, 3NF, etc. Demonstrate expertise in design patterns (FSLDM, IBM IFW DW) and data modelling frameworks including dimensional, star and non-dimensional schemas. Knowledge of credit and portfolio credit risk systems and the process of implementation. Understanding of recent regulatory large counterparty risk and capital requirements.
