Operating successfully for over 9 years, Cunnamulla Bakery is located in a key tourist destination in outback Queensland, supplying high-quality baked goods to both the local community and visitors. Position Overview This role is ideal for an experienced professional who is confident working independently and committed to maintaining high production and quality standards in a bakery environment. As a Baker at Cunnamulla Bakery, you will: Ensure all equipment and work areas meet health and safety standards through regular cleaning and inspections. Assess the quality of raw ingredients, measure precise quantities, and prepare them for baking. Utilize a variety of baking techniques to craft high-quality baked goods. Create and prepare fillings for pastries with precision and care. Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to ensure perfect results every time. Oversee the entire baking process, including shaping, loading, baking, and cooling batches of bread, rolls, and pastries. Add the finishing touches by glazing buns, decorating cakes, and applying icing with artistic flair. Operate specialized equipment, such as dough rollers, moulders, and biscuit cutters. Maintain the cleanliness of baking trays, tins, and other cooking equipment by emptying, cleaning, and greasing them as needed. Requirements To be considered for this position, applicants should meet the following criteria: AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV.
