Company: Marsh Description: Account Executive / Senior Account Executive – Energy and Power What to Expect We have an exciting opportunity for an Account Executive or Senior Account Executive to join Marsh’s Victorian Energy & Power team. In this role, you will support the team on large and complex accounts within the Energy and Power sector while managing your own portfolio of smaller accounts. You will build and nurture client relationships, act as a trusted advisor, pursue new business opportunities, and expand the range of Marsh products and services held by your clients in this dynamic industry. We Will Count on You To: Build, maintain, and grow strong personal relationships and a book of business, contributing to team sales targets Conduct thorough research and analysis to understand client needs and portfolio dynamics, particularly within Energy and Power risks Leverage your risk expertise and market knowledge to assess client exposures and develop tailored insurance solutions specific to the Energy and Power sector in collaboration with the broader team Collaborate with Placement, Advisory Leaders, and Client Executives to execute renewal and placement strategies aligned with client instructions Support presentations to prospective clients and develop innovative solutions to secure new business and projects Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within the Energy & Power portfolio by understanding internal offerings, market trends, and client priorities Define and communicate strategic approaches for custom solution development within your designated market segment Represent Marsh at industry events, conferences, and client functions to build a strong professional network and promote our products and services What You Need to Have: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a commercial insurance environment Valid insurance broker’s license Strong business acumen with a solid understanding of general business functions, finance, and related issues Excellent problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels, including C-suite executives Ability to prioritise, multitask, and consistently meet deadlines Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure client service excellence Willingness to learn about the Energy & Power sector What Makes You Stand Out: 5 years’ experience in insurance broking Deep understanding of business and organisational risk management Proven experience managing a portfolio of accounts Knowledge of insurance products Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills Tier 1 FSRA Compliance certification is essential Tertiary qualifications are highly regarded but not mandatory What’s in It for You: Exposure to and involvement with high-profile accounts in the Energy and Power sector A professional environment where your career development is supported within a global organisation Access to leading training and development programs A collaborative, energetic, and supportive team culture A genuine commitment to work-life balance Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world’s top insurance broker and risk advisor.
