This position involves category management, leading negotiations, drafting, and implementing contracts, and monitoring performance to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with agreed outcomes. The Contract Manager collaborates closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to address complex issues, provide support, and ensure compliance with organisational and Commonwealth policies. By managing contract performance and identifying opportunities for improvement, the Contract Manager enhances the effectiveness of commissioned services across Western Australia. Employment Type: Fulltime Maximum term contract for 2 years Location: WAPHA Head Office, Level 2, 1 Hood Street, Subiaco (Hybrid role) Salary: Band 5 ($110-$120k Plus 12% Superannuation) Key tasks and responsibilities: Manage and lead contractual relationships between Commissioned Service Providers (CSPs) and WAPHA, ensuring adherence to organizational and Commonwealth policies. Develop and implement negotiation strategies for effective and purposeful contractual negotiations. Draft and implement contracts, with a focus on performance monitoring and achieving specified outcomes. Address complex service development and operational issues in collaboration with service providers. Analyze funding proposals and submissions, offering recommendations aligned with WAPHA policies. Promote and support the implementation of WAPHA frameworks through effective contract management. Provide contractual information and advice to the procurement team for procurement activities. Act as the primary contact for all contractual matters related to CSPs and stakeholders. Identify and implement innovative solutions to improve contract management and resolve complex contractual issues. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with CSPs to facilitate effective service delivery and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensure accurate and timely reporting on contract performance, including the preparation of reports on KPIs and outcomes. Support the continuous development and refinement of commissioning processes and procedures. About you To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following selection criteria: Essential experience and education Considerable experience of contract management principles including complex contractual negotiation, financial management and contract preparation Knowledge and experience in healthcare and human services sector. Proven ability to build relationships and collaborative partnerships with stakeholders both internally and externally. Proven high level written and verbal communication skills. High level analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail. Demonstrated highly developed organisational skills together with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines and timeframes. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to the achievement of team goals and objectives. Experience working with culturally diverse groups, particularly Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Experience in working with an electronic contract management system.
