Description EPMO Portfolio Business Partner Reference number: 10973 Closing date: 11:00pm, Tuesday 20 January 2026 X1 permanent full-time position X1 temporary full-time position (13 months in duration with the opportunity to be extended) Salary commencing at $112,111.94 plus 12% superannuation (commensurate with experience) Hybrid work environment The Opportunity We are seeking a Portfolio Business Partner who can facilitate and support the organisation in the improvement in Capital project delivery capability across MVCC. This role would suit someone with a background in project management, business analysis, change management, process improvement, product delivery, or operations. You will become an integral member of the EPMO team and work collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams to achieve delivery of at least 90% of the annual capital budget, ensuring the team are seen as an active project partner that helps projects succeed. You will support the ongoing development and implementation of a capability improvement plan for the organisation around project management and project delivery. Responsibilities include: Support the implementation of a five-stage gate project management framework (PMF) Build relationships by partnering with the delivery community to understand their constraints and application of the PMF standard tools, frameworks and methods and identify actions or decisions required to ensure delivery remains on track. Support the change management strategy to successfully roll out the new/refined project management framework Provide independent advice to the project teams on the quality of project management framework artefact being submitted for decision Skills & Experience required Appropriate tertiary qualification combined with several years subsequent experience in a similar role or certification in Project Management or related discipline Demonstrated experience working in an EPMO in a complex organisations such as local government Experience in supporting the implementation and deployment of project management systems If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you — transferable skills and a willingness to develop are often what make someone truly successful here at MVCC.
