Description About the role The HSE Trainer is a project-based role in the Northern Territory, responsible for ensuring that the highest health, safety and environmental (HSE) and operational standards in all areas of Redpath Mining works are maintained through the management and continuous improvement of HSE systems, appropriate training and competence for employees and contractors and through the monitoring and measurement of safety compliance. Working on 15 days on 13 days off roster, FIFO from Darwin, Perth, Brisbane or Alice Springs. Benefits of working with Redpath Work/life balance on an even time roster Career paths through internal promotions Investment in training for professional development Business improvement and innovation rewards Salary Sacrifice for Superannuation and Novated car leasing Discounted health insurance with BUPA Exclusive access to Redpaths benefits, rewards and discounts program Employee Assistance (4 sessions per annum), well-being assistance that is free for all the family Responsibilities Participate in accident and incident investigations as required, where necessary lead investigations for more serious events Undertake responsibility to ensure appropriate levels of incident investigations are conducted for events in conjunction with operational management and employees Conduct site audits and compile reports as required by the Project Manager and the Redpath Mining audit schedule Maintain the Redpath risk assessment document for the project or area and manage reviews in conjunction with the Project Manager or responsible Managers Maintain quality and customer-service standards by resolving problems, completing audits, identifying trends, determining system improvements and implementing change management interventions Track proposed and emerging safety and health legislation and regulatory requirements and provide reviews to management Participate on relevant client, government and or industry health and safety committees as required Manage the Site Activity Compliance Implementation Schedule requirements and review on a monthly basis Manage, review and update the site risk register and assist when required with JHA’s Ensure all hazard inspections are completed as per the Redpath Mining Safety Management Plan Comply with reporting and other requirements as directed by the Project Manager. Qualifications Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (with relevant experience in Training) Valid Manual Driver's Licence Senior First Aid and CPR certificate Working at Heights Computer Literacy especially with Microsoft Office Good understanding of Mining Legislation and Workplace Health and Safety Experience in investigation process and analysis 3 years’ experience in an Underground Mining Operation
