We are looking for a Senior Urban Designer to join our unique Urban Design & Mobility Solutions team in Melbourne . Through collaboration with our delivery partners, you will play a key role in delivering city-shaping projects with huge diversity of scale, in transport, precinct development, tourism, recreation strategy, and urban ecology. With client relationship front and centre, you will work across the full project life cycle - from business case through to practical completion. Working with a passionate, energetic and high performing team, this position will see you involved in: A wide range of urban design projects, across their entire lifecycle Project coordination between clients, panels and project groups as well as maintaining up to date meeting records to ensure clients are informed accordingly. Diverse activities including design, research, stakeholder engagement and strategy development Multiple industry sectors including transport, property and buildings, water, energy and resources, and environment Collaboration with clients, internal specialists and sub-consultants, Commonwealth and State Government Departments, Agencies and Local Councils What you will bring to the team? A relevant tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture, Architecture or Urban Design, coupled with 10-15 years of professional experience, ideally from within a consulting environment Strong client relationship skills A collaborative nature with high-level written and verbal communication skills Experience in preparing winning proposals Excellent time management skills and the ability to work across multiple projects and multi-disciplinary teams Experience in design and communication tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, and 3d modelling packages Please note GHD offices will be closed from Thursday 25 December 2025 until Friday 9 January 2026 inclusive, with our offices reopening on Monday 12 January 2026.
