About Our Client Our client is a values-driven organisation delivering essential retail services to remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Far North Queensland. About the Role Our client is seeking two dedicated Store Management Couples to lead operations in Doomadgee and Kowanyama . These roles are ideal for experienced retail professionals who thrive in remote environments and are passionate about community impact. As a Management Couple, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring financial viability, team leadership, compliance, and exceptional customer service. You’ll be supported by our clients Regional Manager and work closely with cross-cultural teams across the Cape and Gulf regions. Key Responsibilities ✔ Lead store operations including financials, stock control, and merchandising ✔ Supervise and mentor staff, including Assistant Managers ✔ Ensure compliance with WH&S and food safety standards ✔ Manage rosters, wages, and store presentation ✔ Respond to equipment issues and support quarterly assessments ✔ Build strong relationships across our clients dispersed team What We’re Looking For Certificate III in Retail (or working towards) Forklift Licence (preferred) Experience in remote retail or hospitality environments Strong leadership and HR skills Excellent customer service and communication Ability to work cross-culturally and ethically Criminal History Check (within 3 months) If you’re a couple ready to make a meaningful impact in remote Queensland communities, we’d love to hear from you.
