Delivering small – medium civil infrastructure projects FIFO 5:2 – Mackay, QLD Respected contractor and growing business This an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team working for a privately Australian owned civil engineering construction company who work within resources, local authorities and main roads projects across QLD, NSW and remote areas. Led by a team of highly experienced professionals, the company ensures personal growth and hands on site-based experience As Site Engineer you will help deliver civil infrastructure projects in QLD anywhere up to $20M. Initial project is based in Mackay - Scope of works include bulk earthworks, pavements, structural, electrical works and stormwater. You will work closely with the Supervisor & floating Project Manager undertaking Quality Assurance and additional tasks stated below. Reporting into the Project Manager on the day to day running of the site including the following responsibilities: Procurement of key subcontractors and suppliers Programming and daily planning Quality Assurance management Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and stakeholders Ensuring Safety and Environmental standards are met The successful individual must have at least 2 years main roads TMR, Council or other relevant main roads experience and additional civil construction experience. You will be self-sufficient, organised, have strong initiative, excellent planning skills and ability to assist with managing the project, with the support from your Project Manager. You will either be based in Brisbane, surrounding regions, or based local to Mackay and happy with FIFO/DIDO - accommodation, meals & allowances provided. This is a great opportunity for a Site Engineer with exposure and responsibilities towards project management.
