Synergie Australia is seeking a Port Loader Operator for our FIFO client located in the Northern Territory. The important parts: 7 days on / 7 days off FIFO roster with charter points from Cairns or Darwin (travel from other locations at applicant’s expense) Excellent flat hourly rate: $48.00 - $56.00 ASAP start with ongoing employment opportunities for the right candidate What you will be required to do: Assist with the transfer and shipment of bulk products from port stockpiles to vessels at berth Perform stevedoring duties, including the mooring and warping of vessels Operate fixed and mobile plant equipment safely and efficiently Communicate effectively to confirm correct product movements and stockpile allocations Undertake product sampling in line with quality control and compliance requirements Provide support for port security functions and marine oil spill response when required Maintain safe, orderly work areas through the operation of front-end loaders, bobcats, and water carts To be successful in the role you will have (or willingness to obtain): Previous experience in port operations, shipping or stevedoring Experience in operating fixed plant and mobile equipment Manual Driver’s Licence MSIC and Coxswain Certificate (Desirable) Have working rights in Australia Demonstrate a positive attitude towards safety and its importance in every role What’s on offer for you: Build your lifestyle through the mining industry Meals and camp accommodation provided whilst on site Opportunity to join a globally owned asset in a long-term role Synergie Australia delivers a full 360º recruitment solution, consisting of temporary and permanent recruitment services , and more.
