Your Impact Lead the Packaging Department at one of Australia’s most iconic breweries – Cascade Brewery in Hobart, TAS. Working against a stunning backdrop and committed team, in this senior site leadership role, you will set the standard for performance and continuous improvement, leveraging Asahi Way principles to deliver operational excellence. You’ll oversee all packaging lines, drive efficiency, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards while inspiring and developing a high-performing team. A Day in the Life Your day starts by reviewing production performance and safety metrics before walking the floor to connect with your team. You’ll lead discussions on operational priorities, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure packaging lines are running at peak efficiency. Later, you’ll collaborate with site leadership on strategic initiatives, review continuous improvement projects, and engage with stakeholders to align resources and deliver against ambitious targets. Key Responsibilities Lead the Packaging Department to achieve site production plans and deliver against safety, quality, and environmental requirements Drive performance across all packaging lines (cans, bottles, kegs) and ensure operational efficiency meets KPI targets Implement manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to maximise value and profitability Ensure packaging assets are maintained for reliability and longevity, managing maintenance metrics and equipment conservation Develop and communicate the department’s strategic vision and align resources to achieve long-term goals Contribute as an active member of the site leadership team, working collaboratively with other stakeholders to achieve best practice site-wide About You Relevant qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline with proven leadership experience in FMCG manufacturing Strong understanding of packaging operations, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement methodologies Demonstrated ability to deliver operational results, manage budgets, and lead change in a complex environment Excellent communication and influencing skills with a track record of building strong stakeholder relationships Commercial acumen and ability to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands Why Asahi Beverages?
