The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Italian cuisine, maintaining high food quality standards, and ensuring smooth kitchen operations in line with health and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with Mamma Mia’s menu and standards- Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all food items- Assist in menu planning, including specials and seasonal dishes- Monitor food preparation to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards- Manage food stock levels, ordering, rotation, and minimising waste- Supervise and train kitchen staff where required- Ensure kitchen equipment is used correctly and maintained- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times- Work collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff Skills & Experience Required- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent- Minimum of 12 months ’ experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen- Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine (traditional and modern)- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment- Strong time management and organisational skills- Knowledge of Australian food safety standards- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays Personal Attributes- Passionate about food and Italian cuisine - Reliable, punctual, and well-presented- Team-oriented with a positive attitude- Strong attention to detail- Ability to take direction and work independently Salary Competitive salary in line with experience and Australian award standards $76515 super
