This position forms part of a small team tasked to deliver the PCS Urban Wildlife Program. PCS attends more than 2000 kangaroo collisions each year across the ACT. Most callouts are to remove dead animals from roadways and to euthanise kangaroos injured in vehicle collisions. The occupant will be trained and mentored in dealing with injured and sick wildlife, in accordance with relevant codes of practice and legislation. This will include training and mentoring on euthanising wildlife. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Mandatory: Eligibility to hold an ACT Firearms License. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. Work a roster including frequent weekend work and potentially participate in on-call night work. Wear a uniform. This position may require a pre-employment medical.
