About the role: This is your opportunity to train and work in a Cardiology unit undergoing major development and expansion of services to become a regional cardiac centre of excellence and major referral hub for Central Queensland region. Based in Rockhampton, the Cardiology Service adopts a multidisciplinary model in delivering an integrated specialist care across the care continuum. Our Cardiac team provides a range of diagnostic and procedural services for patients with suspected or established cardiac conditions, including Echocardiography, Stress Imaging, Cardiac Computed Tomography, Heart Failure Services, Cardiac Rehabilitation Services, and Chest Pain Assessment Services. Furthermore, the Cardiology department recently received a significant infrastructure capital injection to build a new Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory as well as expanding the Cardiac Investigation Unit and Cardiology inpatient beds capacity. About you: MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Current General Registration with AHPRA. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification is required. A minimum of two years practice within the Australian healthcare system is preferred. Experience and qualifications in Cardiology are well regarded. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is well regarded. What we offer: Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $177,890 p.a. is comprised of: A salary rate between $134,489 - $147,585 p.a. (L4-L7) A salary rate between $134,489 - $155,125 p.a.
