Role details The Hinterland Mental Health Service at the Clermont, Dysart & Moranbah Seeking applications from Senior Occupational Therapist or Senior Psychologist or Senior Social Worker or Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity Lead and manage a multidisciplinary mental health and AOD team and provide advanced clinical leadership and expertise in strategic, operational and human resource management utilising a well-developed level of clinical knowledge, problem solving skills and experience of complex contemporary clinical practice standards to ensure optimal clinical outcomes for consumers. Proactively advocate for the service on issues such as resource allocation, service improvement, service development, and policy development utilising high level negotiation and conflict management skills within an ethical legislative framework. This position can be based at any of the Hinterland facilities (Clermont or Dysart) and travel to Moranbah when required. About the Team The Hinterland Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (MHAOD) Service provides specialist mental health and AOD assessment and treatment services for those experiencing complex and severe difficulties across the age range. The service is staffed by multi-disciplinary clinical staff with specialist areas of clinical focus, but who work as a team to ensure clinical services are available to the community across a broad geography in a timely and responsive manner. The Service encompasses a wide geographical area within the Isaac Local Government Area. The Isaac Local Government Area (LGA) spans an area of approximately 58,000 km2. Located in the Central Highlands of Queensland, from the coast to the coalfields, Isaac is 1,000km north-west of Brisbane and 900km south of Cairns, with access to world class export infrastructure, the area is strategically placed to capitalise on the economic opportunities associated with the rise of Asia. The estimated resident population is 24,215, although with an additional 11,085 resource sector workers housed in temporary accommodation at any one time, the full-time equivalent population is estimated at 35,845.
