Purpose of the Role BGIS is seeking an experienced Accounts & Office Administrator to support financial and administrative operations for a long-standing, high-profile client in Parramatta. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will work collaboratively with onsite teams to ensure invoices, accounts, reporting, and general administration are managed efficiently and accurately. This role requires resilience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to navigate complex office dynamics and hierarchies. The ideal candidate is resilient, organised, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong financial acumen and excellent communication skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, able to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities - Verify invoices and provide support in the preparation and submission of payment claims - Perform and assist accounts payable and accounts receivable functions - Maintain accurate records of purchase orders and ensure timely tracking - Assist with KPI reporting and monitor contractual compliance to meet client and organisational standards. - Perform administrative and support duties, including minute-taking, record-keeping, and handling ad hoc tasks as required. - Ensure full compliance and consistency with BGIS business systems, policies and contract requirements - Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, fostering strong working relationships Essential Skills & Experience - Experience in accounting, finance, or a similar administrative role - High attention to detail and strong organisational skills - Ability to prioritise, multitask, and solve problems analytically - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), AI-powered tools, ERP systems, and cloud platforms - Demonstrates strong interpersonal, communication, and technological competencies - Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Desirable - Diploma in Accounting or Finance - Prior experience in government or high-profile client environments Workplace Flexibility This role is primarily on-site at the client location in Parramatta, with one day per week working from home.
