About the role As an Area Manager at Petbarn, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of multiple Petbarn stores within a designated region. This full-time, Sydney-based role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and successful delivery of Petbarn's customer-focused retail strategy across your area. What you'll be doing Manage the day-to-day operations of assigned Petbarn stores, ensuring consistent service excellence and compliance with company policies and procedures Lead, coach and develop store management teams to maximise individual and store performance Closely monitor sales, inventory, operational metrics and customer satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement Implement effective merchandising and marketing strategies to drive increased customer engagement and sales Collaborate with the central Petbarn team to plan and execute regional business initiatives Foster a positive, customer-centric culture across your area of responsibility Identify and address operational and staffing issues promptly to minimise disruptions What we're looking for Significant experience (5 years) in a multi-site retail management role, preferably within the pet or homeware industries Proven track record of driving sales, improving operational efficiency and enhancing customer experience Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and implement data-driven solutions Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with store teams, head office and customers Proactive, adaptable and customer-focused mindset What we offer At Petbarn, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
