We are seeking a Theatre Nurse to join our Western Sydney hospital. In this position, you’ll support our Surgery and Ophthalmology teams while working closely with Anaesthesia, Radiology, ECC, Internal Medicine & other specialist teams. Exposure to advanced diagnostic imaging and anaesthesia techniques , with training provided Enjoy a workplace that values ongoing development , reflection and learning Make a real impact on pets and their families as we help them live their best lives What Your Day May Include Assisting with specialist consultations, diagnostics, procedures, and surgeries Performing ophthalmic testing and assisting with advanced surgical nursing Providing anaesthetic monitoring including ventilation and neuromuscular blockade (training provided), with the support of our Anaesthetist. General nursing duties including blood collection, catheter placement, and patient care Coordinating records, managing workflow, and communicating with clients Collaborating daily with Anaesthesia, Radiology, ECC, Internal Medicine, and more to ensure seamless care Work alongside our Western Sydney Surgery Team and Dr. Negar Hamzianpour, our Ophthalmology Specialist: https://sashvets.com/locations/western-sydney/team About You You’re a proactive, compassionate nurse who thrives in a collaborative, care-centred environment. You bring: Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing minimum 2 years' experience Strong interest in Surgery, Ophthalmology, Anaesthesia & specialty nursing Excellent time management, communication, and the ability to prioritise with confidence Experience in general anaesthesia (desirable but not essential) A positive, open, and adaptable approach to your work & your personal growth and development.
