Description We are seeking a Senior Enterprise Investment Advisor to lead Coliban Water’s investment evaluation and cost estimation practices. You will be the authority on business case quality, investment evaluation frameworks, and cost estimation methodologies, ensuring that all investment proposals deliver value for money and align with strategic priorities. This role provides expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team, Enterprise Investment Committee, and Investment Review Committee, shaping investment decisions with evidence-based insights. You will lead a small team of investment analysts and cost estimators, champion rigorous evaluation practices, and build organisational capability in investment assessment and financial appraisal. Key Responsibilities: As our Senior Enterprise Investment Advisor, you’ll be accountable for: Lead and continuously improve the Investment Evaluation Framework, cost estimation methods, and business case standards. Provide authoritative advice on investment evaluation, strategic justification, and value for money. Oversee Investment Logic Mapping (ILM), multi-criteria analysis (MCA), economic appraisal, and whole-of-life costing. Ensure business cases are robust, defensible, and aligned with regulatory and organisational priorities. Coach and develop your team and stakeholders on best practice investment evaluation and cost estimation. Partner strategically with senior leaders to integrate evaluation outcomes into portfolio prioritisation and enterprise planning. About you: Extensive experience (8–10 years) in investment evaluation, cost estimation, and business case development. Strong leadership capability, with experience guiding high-performing analytical teams. Expert knowledge of ILM, MCA, economic appraisal, cost planning, and whole-of-life costing. Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills at senior executive levels. Experience in regulated industries, utilities, or infrastructure is highly desirable.
