Selection Criteria Holds an MBBS or equivalent, with current registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in General Practice, Emergency Medicine or Rural & Remote Medicine, or General Registration with a minimum of seven years' experience as a senior medical officer in a regional or rural NSW emergency medicine department, and compliance with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements as a GP. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary clinical management and modern approaches to the assessment and management of a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions, with competence in performing urgent minor procedures commonly undertaken in rural emergency departments, including Advanced Life Support and Trauma management. Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with the capability to provide leadership and guidance to team members. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement initiatives. Availability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on-site within a reasonable timeframe.
