A full-time Station Hand role has become available on a tidy and well-run family property just outside Muttaburra, Queensland. This opportunity would suit someone in their first or second station role who’s keen to learn, work hard and build confidence in the industry. The operation runs Santa Gertrudis breeders and grows cattle through to feeder weight. Low stress stock handling is used across the property, so a calm approach to livestock is important. What You’ll Be Doing Mustering (experience on a two-wheeler is an advantage) Yard work and cattle processing Feeding, fencing and water runs Daily property upkeep and repairs Tractor operation when needed Working closely with the owner but also comfortable working on your own once shown tasks Mechanical aptitude, welding skills or grader/dozer experience are welcome but not essential. Choppers are used at times for mustering, though most of the country is open.
