With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications for a motivated and suitably experienced Operations Director, Medicine and Cancer Services to join the Division of Cancer and Medicine in a full time, ongoing position.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: This role requires a senior operational leader with strong experience in managing complex healthcare environments and supporting strategic and service improvement initiatives across Medicine and Cancer services.  The Operations Director, Medicine and Cancer Services is responsible for supporting the planning, delivery and evaluation of operational and strategic initiatives within the Division of Cancer and Medicine. The role has a strong focus on patient flow, progression of care, capacity management, workforce performance and financial stewardship. Working closely with clinical leaders, executive teams and enabling services, the role supports safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery and improved patient outcomes.  To be successful in this role you will have: Experience in senior management roles within the healthcare sector, with demonstrated capability in managing complex operational environments across Medicine and Cancer services. Strong experience in financial management, including budget development, monitoring and resource optimisation. Demonstrated ability to support and implement quality, safety and service improvement initiatives in multidisciplinary healthcare settings. Proven ability to engage, influence and work collaboratively with clinical leaders, executive teams and key stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated experience in project and program development, delivery and evaluation, including the application of change management methodologies.
