Job Description We currently have an opportunity for a Grade 2 Speech Pathologist available at Epworth Geelong, based in Waurn Ponds. This is a part time role (0.6) This role offers the opportunity to assess, manage and provide client-centred intervention to Epworth patients experiencing swallowing and communication impairments in a hospital setting. You will make an impact with your: Ability to assess and evaluate patients in relation to communication and swallowing abilities and upon diagnosis determine appropriate treatment Strong knowledge within the assessment and management of swallowing and communication disorders and how these can have a direct impact on a patient’s overall health and quality of life. Ability to provide evidence-based, patient-centred care Ability to work collaboratively and confidently within the multidisciplinary team Strong time-management, problem solving and prioritisation skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills To be successful in the role, you will have: Hold a Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent degree Be eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) Demonstrate relevant hospital experience - preferred Present with experience in tracheostomy management - preferred Be experienced in administering and interpreting Videofluoroscopy Assessments.
