Currently our EHS team is seeking an EHS Specialist to join the team! The EHS Specialist role will make an impact by assisting with establishing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, occupational health, and safety regulations. Perform specialised tasks, and other duties to promote and ensure a safe, healthy, and environmental sound work environment. To work with all site leads to create a collaborative and cohesive team. Key responsibilities for this role include: Experience in design and implementation of EHS Management Systems. Experienced in Workers Compensation, Injury management, RTW cases, OH&S Policies and Training including E-Learning. Ensure environmental sustainability through the monitoring and reporting of all aspects of environmental management and, implementing necessary control measures as required. Accreditation in, or willing to obtain in, First Aid, Fire Safety , Rehabilitation and RTW. Demonstrated ability to work with EHS software and advanced computer skills e.g. MS Office, etc. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and influence at all staff levels including senior management. Ability to develop, schedule, conduct and lead internal EHS audits. Experience in the development and application of EHS associated training. Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work autonomously. The minimum qualifications for this role are: Tertiary qualifications in EHS/OHS and/or similar. Demonstrated 3 years’ experience in an EHS Specialist or similar role. Previous experience within the manufacturing industry preferably the Pharmaceutical or Food industry is preferred but not essential.
