Joining Cromer and Forestville, Cromer is our newest site on Sydney's northern beaches, and we seek an experienced educator ready to progress their career with the Y Schedule Before School Care: Monday: 7-9am Tuesday: Not Available Wednesday: 7-9am Thursday: Not Available Friday: 7-9am After School Care: Monday: 1-6pm Tuesday: 1-6pm Wednesday: 1-6pm Thursday: 1-6pm Friday: 1-6pm About your new role You will provide fun and engaging activities for primary school-age children You will help design a calendar of inclusive, exciting, and engaging program activities Reporting to the Coordinators of our OSHC centres, you will be one of over 200 educators who support children across NSW You will be able to follow our development pathways to learn new skills and build your career To oversee, lead, and develop quality reflective practices for delivering the approved learning framework/s and the National Quality Standard to a high standard About you Y NSW staff love supporting their communities, and our educators innovate learning every day Y NSW OSHC Educators are motivated to develop children outside of the classroom Everyone at the Y NSW ensures that we provide supportive service for families Everyone at the Y NSW is committed to safeguarding and hosting safe learning environments Strong leadership abilities that display respect, dignity, and direction Suitably qualified and have experience in leading the development and implementation of the educational program (or curriculum) in the service Thorough understanding of the approved learning framework/s (National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place V.2.) to be able to guide and inspire educators in their planning and reflection, and to mentor colleagues in their implementation practices To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience supervising and interacting with children Ability to follow safeguarding priorities A strong understanding of the curriculum or willing to learn An ability to support educators and encourage out-of-the-box thinking Availability to supervise Before School Care, After School Care, and Vacation Care hours Current First Aid HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency response in an education and care setting and CPR Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care, Diploma or equivalent qualification (Desirable) Identify and Report Children and Young People at Risk CHCPRT025 (Desirable) Valid Working with Children Check Police Check (paid for by the Y) Who What Y?
