See yourself in our team You’ll be part of the Sanctions, PEP and TF Detection team within Financial Crime Compliance Detection, working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our detection systems. We collaborate across Group Operations, Technology, and Risk Management to deliver world-class solutions and actionable insights. Key Responsibilities Design and optimise detection rules to enhance system effectiveness and mitigate financial crime risks, including sanctions, terrorism financing, and PEP trends. Lead stakeholder engagement as a subject matter expert, presenting at governance committees and ensuring compliance with audit and governance standards. Perform advanced data analysis using SAS, Oracle, and Teradata; leverage SQL or SAS programming skills, with R, Python, and Tableau as advantageous tools. Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring adherence to governance frameworks and supporting solution delivery. Provide actionable insights by analysing trends, anomalies, and emerging financial crime events, recommending strategies for risk mitigation. Work independently under tight deadlines, managing challenging interactions and building effective relationships across the organisation. We’re interested in hearing from people who: Have experience in Sanctions, Terrorism Financing, PEP, or other Financial Crime areas. Are familiar with SAI NetReveal, Fircosoft, or other customer screening technologies. Possess solid Oracle SQL skills; experience with R, Python, and Tableau is a plus. Demonstrate advanced verbal, written, and numeracy skills. Can work effectively with business stakeholders and leadership teams. Hold tertiary qualifications in a numerate and/or IT-based discipline or have relevant industry experience. Proactively identify, understand, and act on current and future risks.
