We are a not-for-profit, and our work across finance, business and policy making is underpinned by science, economics, and a deep knowledge of Asian markets and dynamics. Role Purpose The Director, Communications & Marketing will lead AIGCC’s marketing and business development communications, and the marketing of events to drive membership growth, revenue, philanthropic funding and influence among institutional investors, policy-makers , business leaders. This role ensures the quality and reach of AIGCC’s outputs and oversees a high-performing team delivering impactful campaigns, events, and collateral. Accountabilities Include: Membership Growth: Deliver AIGCC’s 2030 goal of growing membership to 200 institutional investors with exposure to Asia (up from 85 currently). Reach to and Impact upon Key Audience s : Ensure AIGCC workstreams reach priority audiences —institutional investors, policy-makers , and business decision-makers—through effective communications advice and distribution. Quality Control: Maintain editorial and brand standards for all communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact. Key Responsibilities : High Priority Marketing Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and execution of compelling narratives, value propositions , and engagement strategies that increase revenue generation by re tain ing and grow ing AIGCC membership from institutional investors , r etaining, growing, and diversifying philanthropic support marketing any new fee-for-service initiatives that AIGCC may develop Events Marketing Strategy & Management: Overseeing the m arket ing of AIGCC’s events portfolio, including flagship conferences, roundtables, and member convenings. Collateral Production & Distribution: P roduction and dissemination of reports, digital content, and marketing materials (without authoring technical content). Team Leadership: L ead a high-performing team across communications, marketing, and events . Project Management: Ensur ing high- quality project controls within the communications area managing timelines, budgets, and risk , and human resources for effectiveness and sustainability. Member Experience and Quality Control: Ensur ing member experience, research outputs , and other communications touch-points meet editorial and brand standards , and progress strategic priorities . Medium Priority Strategic/Political Communications: Advise on messaging for policy-sensitive initiatives and stakeholder engagement. Experience & Capabilities Essential Demonstrated interest in climate and/or nature risks and opportunities as they relate to investment , and a willingness and ability to quickly master complex subjects. 10–15 years in B2B communications , marketing and/or business development , preferably in financ e-related professional services or institutional investment. Proven success in business and/or membership growth , events marketing , and partnership development . Experience managing multi-format collateral production and digital distribution. Strong team leadership and project management skills. Expertise in quality control for research and communications. Regional experience across Asia n markets , and based in Asia Business English Preferred Fluency in at least one Asian language. Familiarity with climate finance and investor initiatives in Asia. Experience working in dynamic and fast-paced environments. Advanced degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business advantageous .
