About the role The Transport Allocator is responsible for scheduling pick-up and deliveries for the InfraBuild Recycling Internal and Contract fleet. You will communicate with all parties in the Recycling supply chain and respond to all requests, ensuring our promise to the customer is met and safety is not compromised while maintaining efficiencies and professionalism at all times. Your responsibilities will include: • Apply and reinforce all InfraBuild Recycling policies and procedures relating to the management of health and safety values as pertains to transport • Report hazards and incidents immediately • Manage and coordinate fleet transport operations within the transport network, in line with documented safe operating procedures • Check drivers qualifications and verify competencies against InfraBuild requirements • Maintain efficient use of freight options and contract arrangements whilst providing a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers • Support deliver in full and on time programs and work practices (DIFOT) • Liaise with NSW Transport Manager on actions to improve freight related customer service outcomes Our ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, thrives when working independently, and excels at building strong, collaborative relationships. Essential criteria to be successful: • Experience in allocating varied fleet of vehicles • Certificate III/IV in transport/logistics, desirable • Previous industry experience – scrap metal recycling, mining, heavy industrial desirable • Knowledge of the delivery area and routes • Knowledge of load configuration and restraint requirements • Knowledge of vehicle types and capacity restrictions • Working knowledge of NSW transports legislation and regulations • Working knowledge of chain of responsibility obligations • Effective verbal and written communication skills with intermediate level computer skills, particularly in email, spreadsheets and word processing.Key Benefits Below are some of our key central benefits that are available to InfraBuild employees.
