The Role Reporting directly to the Executive Leader Delivery and Performance, the Senior Leader Finance and Technology will see you leading a team whose purpose is to provide strong financial management and ongoing financial sustainability, effective information and communication systems, and continuous innovation in technology service delivery. In this role, you'll be central to the strategy and coordination behind a key period of digital transformation at Council. Your leadership will enable the organisation to operate efficiently, transparently, and sustainably through sound financial practices, data-driven decision-making, and modern digital capability. Key Responsibilities Inspire, engage, and develop employees, fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and frameworks to ensure sound fiscal management and accountability. Oversee the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and the Long Term Financial Plan Provide high-level financial advice to the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, Councillors, and key stakeholders. Provide strategic leadership for technology infrastructure, systems, and service delivery across the organisation. Ensure best practice procurement frameworks to ensure fair, compliant and transparent practices. Lead the organisation's digital strategy to enhance efficiency, data integrity, connectivity, and customer experience. Champion digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives. Provide high-level reporting and advice on financial and technology performance to the Executive and Senior Leadership Teams, Audit Panel, and Council. About You Ideally you will have experience in financial management and strategy, along with strategic-level IT competencies. Experience and insight with digital transformation projects will be highly regarded. As a leader, you will be proactive, innovative and a strong communicator. You'll bring a collaborative, solutions-focused approach to the Finance and IT teams. A background in local government is highly desirable as compliance with legislative and policy is central to the successful integration of finance, procurement and technology strategies.
