The Role Reporting directly to the Executive Leader Community Asset and Design, the Senior Leader City Infrastructure at the City of Launceston will see you work closely with project managers, advisors and engineers who will be behind the design and delivery of major construction and civil works. It's a role that will suit someone who is more systems-oriented and can showcase how a collaborative approach can achieve success for any given project through seeking a range of viewpoints and approaches. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership to the City Infrastructure team of 31, driving the achievement of Council's corporate objectives. Oversee the planning, management, and delivery of the Council's capital works program and major infrastructure projects. Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of Engineering (Water, Roads, Transport), Infrastructure Design, and Project Delivery teams. Inspire, engage, and develop employees, fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture. Ensure strong financial stewardship by developing, monitoring, and managing team budgets. Develop, implement, and monitor Asset Management Plans to support sustainable infrastructure outcomes. Deliver high-quality technical advice and reporting to Council and external stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making.
