Now with Australian operations in full swing, we require the expertise of an experienced Compliance Officer to maintain and oversee the frameworks required to fulfill the regulatory requirements, internal policies and industry standards for 1Komma5 across Australia. The successful candidate will report directly to the Business Operations Director and will work closely with internal departments to maintain and continuously improve the policies, standards, processes and culture within our organisation. With a keen eye on compliance, safety and quality, 1KOMMA5 are striving to set the standard for operational excellence in the renewables industy. This role will work from the Gold Coast office and is a boots on the ground opportunity, with site visits and interstate travel required on an as needs basis. Key Responsibilities: Support line management with risk based compliance decisions. Monitor and interpret relevant legislation, regulations, and industry codes of practice. Develop and maintain internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls. Develop an Internal Audit Program, and support internal audits within the Company. Lead the investigation and resolution of compliance-related incidents or complaints. Provide regular reporting to senior management and stakeholders on compliance performance across functions and geographic locations. Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and ensure timely responses to regulatory enquiries and audits. Coordinate compliance training for staff and ensure awareness across the organisation. Maintain registers for complaints, incidents, and breaches. Support due diligence activities, including supplier and subcontractor compliance assessments. Skills & Qualifications: Experience: A minimum of 3 years experience in compliance, regulatory, or governance role. Prior experience responding to audits and liasing with government and regulatory bodies, such as the Clean Energy Council (CEC) or other industry regulatory authorities. Strong knowledge of relevant industry regulations Tertiary qualification in law, business, risk, oh&s or related field Skills: Strong understanding of industry regulations and standards, OH&S and best practices, particularly within renewable energy and construction.
