Description How you can make an impact We’re looking for a Tax Advisor – Research (Entry-Level) to join our Bundaberg Tax Advisory Team. This entry-level Tax Advisor – Research role is perfect for candidates who are: Currently studying or have completed a degree in Law, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business ; or, Recently completed high school with high grades in accounting and legal studies (and interests in pursuing tertiary studies in law, commerce, accounting, finance, business (or similar) In this position, you will support our advisory team by assisting with research, analysis and the preparation of tax related documents. You will gain exposure to a broad range of technical tax matters and develop foundational skills under the guidance of senior specialists. You will be: Conducting preliminary research on tax topics under the guidance of senior team members Assisting in preparing written summaries, basic advice memos, and briefing notes Reviewing legislation, ATO guidance, and case law with support Supporting the advisory team during client engagements Helping create training materials, internal papers, and presentations Participating in client meetings where appropriate Assisting with administrative and coordination tasks within the advisory team Assisting with researching and interpreting Australian tax legislation Supporting the team by gathering information, analysing transactions, and identifying initial tax considerations Preparing draft responses, checklists and summaries for review Learning to translate research into easy to understand written explanations Contributing to training papers and internal presentations Maintaining accurate documentation and uphold high-quality work standards Skills And Experiences You have: • An interest in tax, law, accounting, commercial problem-solving, or research • Strong written and verbal communication skills • A willingness to learn, ask questions, and engage with complex topics • Attention to detail and a methodical approach • Curiosity and a proactive mindset • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work collaboratively About Ulton Ulton is one of Queensland’s most established advisory, accounting, and wealth management firms, trusted by business owners and high net worth individuals for 100 years and counting.
