The Positions 1 x Gardens Apprentice 1 x Parks Apprentice Qualifications & experience Learner Licence, Provisional Licence or Class C (standard) Driver’s Licence (compulsory to maintain) White Card Ability to complete Certificate III in Parks and Gardens A genuine interest in horticulture, garden maintenance and landscaping. Tasks & responsibilities Assist in the maintenance of the council parks and gardens Use all plant and equipment in a safe and competent manner. Ensure all routine maintenance to plant and equipment used is completed. Maintenance and planting of trees Provide advice to the public, visitors in a polite and effective manner. Hours Based on a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 4.00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines. These times may vary due to operational requirements and will be determined by the supervisor.
