And as a permanent Paralegal in our Legal Costing team based in Melbourne CBD, that starts with you. With the skills of a legal assistant or senior legal assistant, with exposure working within personal injury teams, you’ll provide paralegal support to our Victorian legal costing solicitor team as they maximise cost recoverability throughout the lifecycle of a case. While this is a full-time role, we are open to part-time or flexible work arrangements of at least four (4) days per week for the right candidate. Reporting to the National Legal Costing Manager, with empathy, adaptability and initiative, you will be a true champion of our clients by: Acting as the primary point of contact for inbox enquiries, directing requests appropriately and escalating matters to costing solicitors. Extracting and preparing work-in-progress data from internal systems for solicitors to review. Verifying data integrity of time entries, and costs for matters. Drafting itemised client accounts for costing solicitor review. Managing the legal costing team’s worklist, tracking progress and ensuring timely updates. Assisting in preparing files for external cost assessors. Performing data entry and reconciliation tasks. Completing other ad hoc administrative duties as required. What you’ll bring Previous experience working in personal injury team/s will make your application competitive. Proven experience as a legal assistant or senior legal assistant is essential for success. Accurate typing skills with intermediate Word & Excel skills. Keen eye for detail in your document management and collation skills. You’ll be a great communicator both verbally and in writing. You’ll recognise and value the importance of your role in being the gateway to support our clients.
