About the role: This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Primary Prevention Specialist to join a team of dedicated Educators in prevention of family domestic violence and abuse on the NSW Central Coast. The successful applicant will co-facilitate Respectful Relationship education and Mental Health education to school students, aged between 11 and 18 with the aim of teaching mental health strategies, promoting respectful relationships, active bystander tools and challenging gender stereotypes. You will deliver Prevention and Family Abuse Educational workshops including Safety Planning workshops to minority communities, services, workplaces, early childhood settings, sporting groups and community members. This role is a part-time permanent role, working part time, 4 days per week and we offer a flexible working arrangement. The position is based in Tuggerah and will require you to travel across the Central Coast as required. To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or equivalent. Consideration will be given to candidates currently studying. Experience or knowledge in all areas in Domestic & Family Violence or related specialist area such as mental health, homelessness or drug and alcohol. Strong working knowledge of the” Our Watch framework” and “Safe & Together Model” (preferred but not essential). Experience in sourcing funding along with building strong work partnerships. Experience in supporting families and children in high level, complex, DFV case work and child protection, including working with persons using violence.
