ConsultANZ is seeking a Project Engineer to join a well-established civil engineering contractor in the South Island. Our client is delivering a $100M civil package, including pavements, drainage, and earthworks, as part of a renewable energy project. Responsibilities : Create and manage the programme for assigned scopes of work using MS Project. Conduct and oversee monthly financial reviews, including cost-to-complete assessments for designated scopes. Ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, procedures, and legal requirements, including permits, plans, and subcontractor management. Supervise and mentor a team of Site Engineers and Foremen within the assigned scope. Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth project delivery. Requirements: A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. Five or more years of experience in civil infrastructure projects (General civil experience preferred). Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality standards. Experience using MS Project, Excel, Primavera, or similar project management software. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment. Benefits Salary range $110,000 - $130,000 vehicle Site Allowance (negotiable depending on experience).
