Your key accountabilities The core capability requirements for this role are: Fulfil the Commissioner's obligations with respect to compliance with subpoenas and other legal processes, requiring document production in Queensland and interstate. Allocate and overview work tasks in accordance with legislated time frames to ensure compliance with respect to compliance with subpoenas and other legal processes and supervise the performance of team members including the provision of training and performance management. Provide briefings to Legal Officers in relation to specific subpoenas and other legal processes where objections are raised on behalf of the Commissioner, to ensure that the Service is represented in any subsequent legal proceedings. Process complex subpoenas and other legal processes served upon the Commissioner, including checking for privileged material in compliance with court ordered and legislative timeframes. Liaise with the courts on relation to the production of documents in response to summonses, subpoenas and other legal processes on behalf of the Commissioner. Establish and maintain constructive professional relationships with legal practitioners, including Crown Law officers, and other internal and external stakeholders on matters involving the Service. Contribute to the development of policy, practice and procedures for the release of information under subpoenas and other legal processes.
