Description About the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, professional training and primary prevention initiatives. About The Role As a member of the Legal Program, the Administration Assistant reports to the Principal Solicitor and provides high quality administrative support to the legal program and the service users. The Administration Assistant will: Provide administrative support and assistance to the Principal Solicitor and other staff as required. Ensure that all women who have made contact with, or have been referred to the service, are responded to with respect and dignity and are provided with appropriate and timely referral into the legal program. Ensure a warm and friendly welcoming atmosphere for all people accessing the legal program. Arranging client appointments, completing intake forms and speaking with clients to obtain their information. Understanding of relevant privacy legislation and internal policies that informs the collection and communication of service user information. Understanding of, and a commitment to agency and service user confidentiality. Key Selection Criteria Essential Qualifications and Experience Your application must address the following: Completion of Year 12, or its equivalent. Current Victorian Drivers Licence. Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (Police Check). Current Working with Children Check or valid exemption. International Police Record Check (only required where staff have lived overseas for 12 months or longer in one country in the last 10 years). Essential Skills and Knowledge Understanding of, and a commitment to maintaining professional practice and boundaries. Advanced administrative skills, particularly data entry and Microsoft Office. Excellent time management skills and an ability to work well under pressure. Good interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate effectively with a diverse range of people including service users, external stakeholders and staff. Knowledge of relevant legislation standards, policies and electronic resources. Demonstrated flexible and adaptable approach to work collaboratively with others to foster a cooperative and supportive team environment. Period of Appointment Full time ongoing subject to funding Hours of work 38 per week Salary and Conditions Annual salary range is $68,344.90 – $74,561.93 plus superannuation (pro rata for part time). Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills. Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement 2023. Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution. Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
