Nominated Supervisor & Educational Leader Inner Eastern suburbs of Melbourne Part‑time – 3 days per week (Fixed‑term 12‑month contract) VECTEA Award About the Role I am currently partnering with a well‑established, community‑focused kindergarten in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs to recruit an experienced and confident Centre Manager to lead their well‑established, community‑focused kindergarten service. This is a part‑time leadership role across three days per week , structured as: 1 day teaching in the Pre‑Prep room, and 2 days dedicated to Centre Management , leadership and operations. The team are seeking a professional who can bring clear leadership, authority and direction to the service, someone who enjoys guiding teams, ensuring best practice, and creating momentum across the centre. About the Service This is a well‑established, community‑focused sessional kindergarten located in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs. The service has strong community connections and an experienced teaching team, catering for approximately 80 children across three programs Key Responsibilities Leading and managing daily operations in line with National Law and Regulations Acting as Nominated Supervisor and Educational Leader Providing strong leadership, mentoring and professional support to early childhood educators Overseeing high‑quality, inclusive, play‑based educational programs Ensuring compliance across NQS, EYLF, child safety and workplace requirements Driving reflective practice, continuous improvement and the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) Building strong, respectful relationships with families, staff, committee members and the wider community Bringing structure, accountability and clear leadership to support team effectiveness About You The ideal candidate will be a confident, experienced kindergarten leader who is comfortable stepping into an established team and providing direction. You will have: Current VIT registration (essential) Proven experience running or leading a kindergarten service Strong understanding of sessional kindergarten operations Excellent communication skills The confidence and authority to lead experienced educators Strong organisational, compliance and leadership capability A collaborative, warm approach aligned with a community‑based service Why This Role?
