About The Role As the School Technical Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the school's ICT operations, working collaboratively with the existing IT Technical Officer to enhance student learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities Include Providing advice and assistance to optimise ICT operations, including installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. Offering technical support and guidance to staff and students, ensuring a high level of customer service. Delivering training to staff on the effective use of ICT tools to enhance educational outcomes. Conducting regular preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on ICT facilities and equipment. Maintaining technical services and records related to ICT infrastructure and liaising with stakeholders on technical matters. This role would suit a proactive and technically skilled individual who enjoys working in a collaborative school environment to support digital learning. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Strong technical knowledge of server hardware, networking peripherals, and security protocols. Experience with PC, laptop, Apple iPad systems, and printer support. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to support staff and students effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to challenges. Experience using remote support tools for servers and workstations in an educational environment.
