Position: Chef Full Time Company: Cock & Bull Cairns, Cairns, Qld Contract Details: Full-time; Salary $75,000 to $80,000 per annum plus super. Cock & Bull Cairns is seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and high-quality dishes that will delight our customers and keep them coming back for more. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to restaurant recipes and standards. - Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented in a timely and efficient manner. - Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed. - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines. - Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and specials. - Train and mentor junior kitchen staff. - Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations. - Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times. Requirements: - Minimum of 12 months of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment. - Certificate IV/Diploma in Cookery is preferable. - Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods. - Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment. - Excellent time management and organizational skills. - Attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality dishes. - Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. - Availability to work weekends and evenings as required.
