We are looking for a motivated and reliable Heavy Diesel Fitter Apprentice to join our growing team! About the Role As an apprentice, you will train alongside qualified technicians to service, repair, and troubleshoot on a wide range of underground mobile equipment. What You’ll Learn • Assist in inspections, servicing, and repairs of mobile equipment • Learn to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults • Support preventative maintenance programs • Maintain workshop and site safety standards • Use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and diagnostic equipment • Complete logbooks and apprenticeship training requirements What You’ll Bring • A current QLD class driver’s licence (manual) • Genuine interest in mechanical work • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn • Good problem-solving and communication skills • Ability to work in a team environment • Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol screen, and national police clearance. This is a residential role based in Charters Towers. All applicants must live locally and be current Australian residents.
