This is a Manager role with Northern Territory Government based in Darwin, NT, AU Northern Territory Government Role Seniority - mid level More about the Manager role at Northern Territory Government Senior Administrative Officer 1 - Remuneration Package $151,221 - $168,735 Rural Generalist Coordination Unit Darwin, Northern Territory Fixed vacancy available for 12 months We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to provide comprehensive executive business support to the Director of the Rural Generalist Coordination Unit. This pivotal role will see you at the centre of workforce development initiatives, driving projects that achieve the objectives of the NT Rural Generalist Program. You will manage the operational requirements of the branch while contributing to strategic planning, ensuring the program continues to strengthen the rural and remote medical workforce across the Northern Territory. Key Responsibilities Aligned with the National Rural Health Strategy and NT Health strategy, policies and procedures, contribute to the management and implementation of the NTRGP. Manage consultation and engagement processes for internal and external stakeholders including NT Health, State and Commonwealth Government agencies, community health services and education providers. Drive the delivery of program activities prescribed by Commonwealth grants including governance, data collection and analysis, case management, policy development, workforce planning, collaboration and communication. Manage Commonwealth funded programs, including the associated communication, budget and reporting requirements. Prepare complex briefings, executive correspondence and other written material to a high standard. Undertake project planning and risk management activities to support the achievement of RGCU branch priorities, with a particular focus on continuous improvement, effective communication, engagement and delivery of the NTRGP. Contribute to innovative strategic planning in health workforce reform activities that have Territory wide implications. Lead and manage a team, monitoring operational pressures, team capacity and adjust resources, workloads and priorities to achieve outcomes and drive continuous improvement of the NTRGP. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
