This is a Project Lead - Safe Local Roads and Streets Program role with Latrobe City Council based in Morwell, VIC, AU Latrobe City Council Role Seniority - mid level More about the Project Lead - Safe Local Roads and Streets Program role at Latrobe City Council Project Lead - Safe Local Roads and Streets Programs Temporary Part Time - 30.4 Hours per week until 31 December 2026 Location: Morwell Band 6 Salary Range: $49.21 to $53.37 per hour plus 12% Superannuation Department: City Assets About This Role This position offers the Project Lead the delivery of the Safe Local Roads and Streets Program (SLRSP) which supports the development and implementation of a suite of road safety infrastructure projects on local roads. You will play a crucial role in carrying out investigations and project manage design of civil infrastructure for works to be completed whilst supporting the development and implementation of strategies for stakeholder and community engagement to make a lasting impact. About You For this role we are seeking someone who has experience in managing and delivering projects within a local government, construction or related environment including the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver project on time and within budget. You will also need: A degree or diploma in a relevant field or a lesser qualification along with a minimum of 2 years’ experience with a demonstrated knowledge of general civil project delivery. Experience in contract supervision and the ability to work as part of a team and develop a good internal working environment. Willingness to engage with and undertake ongoing professional training and development to maintain and enhance professional expertise and competence. Additional studies relating to municipal engineering and management/finance and experience in local government engineering would be highly desired but is not essential Successful applicants will be required to apply for and satisfactorily obtain a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
