Reporting to the Manager Finance, this role plays a key part in maintaining strong balance sheet integrity, meeting legislated reporting requirements, and providing reliable financial information to support informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities Assisting with monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations and subsidiary ledgers reconcile to the general ledger Supporting month-end processes and legislated reporting deadlines Reviewing financial position with allocated Managers and providing forecasting insights Managing activity-based costing, plant recovery and labour overheads Assisting with annual budget, budget review and financial statement preparation Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors Reviewing the City’s investment portfolio in accordance with the Investment Policy Providing management and financial reporting to Committees Managing grant compliance, reporting and acquittals Experience with GST and statutory reporting About You You will be a motivated accounting professional with strong technical and analytical skills.
