Description The Practice ASPECT Studios is a purpose-oriented landscape architecture and urban design practice. Sydney Studio Our team believes in the importance or creating a studio environment where an openness to new ideas and collaboration sits in partnership with deep knowledge and expertise. The Sydney studio is located in the heart of Redfern, is easily accessible by public transport and is surrounded by parks and open spaces. The open-plan studio is a beautiful space to work. The Role The Studio Manager works closely with Studio Directors to ensure the studio operates efficiently, delivers high-quality proposals, and supports a strong team environment. In this role you will have broad and diverse areas of accountability. This is a leadership role that combines strategic oversight with practical delivery. Your responsibilities will include: Lead the preparation of our studio client strategy, submissions and tenders, including risk assessment, fee setting, and strategy development, to secure work aligned with business priorities. Manage HR activities for the studio, including recruitment, performance reviews, and team development, while maintaining a positive and professional workplace. Support Studio Directors in managing team and project resourcing, monitoring workloads, and ensuring the right mix of skills across projects. Lead the studio support team. You will also contribute to the One Studio approach, sharing knowledge and supporting operational improvements across the practice. About You You’re outcome-focused, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement. Skilled in marketing, bids, and tender management, you deliver high-quality proposals under pressure. Confident in leading people and managing studio processes, you balance priorities across marketing, resourcing, and operations. Detail-oriented and practical, you thrive in fast-paced environments, managing deadlines and multiple workstreams to achieve consistent results. You’ll be: Experienced in delivering end-to-end marketing plans, bids, tenders, and submissions. A confident leader with experience managing HR processes and team development. Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Skilled in preparing and formatting proposals, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with InDesign. Collaborative and adaptable, building strong relationships across teams and with clients. Although prior practice or Studio Management experience in design or architecture will be highly regarded, we welcome candidates from a wide range of backgrounds within professional services organisations (e.g., engineering, construction, consultancy, or law).
