Job Title: Senior Test Engineer Location: Brisbane, Australia Employment Type: full-time The job The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for assuring the quality of our systems and software applications. Responsible for manual and automation test runs, assist the team in reducing the bugs and ensure our application meets the requirements. The role involves writing, executing, maintaining the manual test cases and automation test scripts on our web and desktop application. KEY ACCOUNTABLITIES Comprehensive Test Strategy Development: Develop robust test plans for both manual and automated testing, ensuring coverage across construction-specific software features. Automation Testing : Assist with design and development of automation testing frameworks tailored to the needs of construction product software. Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts. Create and maintain a testing framework that ensures seamless integration with our Continuous Integration (CI) system Test Execution & Defect Management: Perform manual testing, defect identification, and documentation. Create, run, and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Playwright or Selenium. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality standards for software used in the construction industry. Regression Testing & Test Coverage: Conduct regression tests to ensure new software releases do not introduce defects and ensure broad test coverage across various platforms and environments. Process Improvement: Stay informed on the latest testing trends, and propose improvements to enhance the QA processes for construction products. Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports, and provide feedback to the development teams. QUALFICATION Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-8 years of experience in QA and at least 2 years with a focus on test automation Knowledge of construction industry tools or products is an advantage. ISTQB or similar certification is a plus. REQUIREMENTS Automated Testing Tools: Experience with tools such as TestComplete, Playwright, Selenium. Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java and have practical project experience. DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Teamcity or similar CI/CD tools. Version Control: Comfortable and understand how to work with Visual Studio and version control e.g., Git. Agile & SDLC Knowledge: Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and best practices in testing. Test Management Tools: Experience with Jira, TestRail, Confluence, and familiarity with Agile development practices will be advantage. Construction Domain Knowledge: Knowledge of technologies related to graphics modeling, hardware components, or cloud technologies like Azure is good to have.
