Your role within the team The Product Development Manager will lead the Product Delivery squad, overseeing the end-to-end execution of product initiatives. This role is responsible for guiding the team in delivering New Product Development (NPD) projects from Gate 2 approval through to launch, as well as managing projects related to Existing Product Development (EPD), quality challenges, and tactical NPD initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Lead the product delivery team to support the delivery of our New Product Development pipeline. Ensure Existing Product Development, Quality challenges and Tactical NPDs are adequately resourced. Collaborate with our Product Design Squad to ensure projects flow into the Product Delivery squads work stream. Provide guidance to Product Development associates to assist in taking NPD projects from Contract Manufacturer (CM) briefs through to delivery, EPD quality challenges, RM changes & change controls. With the support of the PD Senior Manager, be clear on Product Delivery teams key priorities and ensure the team can flex to support the critical milestones. Build and maintain strong relationships with Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners, ensuring regular engagement to align on priorities and provide clear feedback to the business on CM capacity, capabilities, strengths, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with the Product Design team to align on Product Development recommendations for Contract Manufacturer (CM) selection across projects. To make sure we’re setting new starters up for success, we ask that you meet a few criteria relevant to the role to be considered for this opportunity: Minimum 6 years’ experience within complementary medicines, skincare, nutrition, or food industries. Tertiary qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Formulation Chemistry, Food Technology, or a related applied science discipline. Strong understanding of Australian and global regulatory environments across complementary medicine, food, and/or skincare, with the ability to interpret regulations to design compliant products. Proven experience leading and managing teams, with the ability to guide and develop others. Demonstrated experience delivering products from concept through to launch, including formulation development and product assessment activities (e.g. sensory, analytical, and stability testing). Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate technical, regulatory, and operational challenges throughout the product development lifecycle. Experience working with contract manufacturers and ingredient suppliers, with exposure to manufacturing environments considered advantageous. Ability to critically evaluate raw materials, including assessment of specifications, samples, and suitability for use. Experience sharing information to cross-functional teams in a meaningful format that makes technical detail easy to understand Familiarity with quality and governance processes, including change control and document control systems. Experience working in a commercial environment and making decisions that balance the technical needs with the commercial requirements of the business.
