Reporting directly to the Executive Director, you will be responsible for leading the design, development and implementation of operational policies and programs relating to successful program reform and program management of social and affordable housing within Queensland. The key responsibilities and requirements of the role are outlined below: - Provide expert advice and leadership in the design, development and implementation of operational policies and programs of a number of social and affordable housing programs funded by the department, including program reform where required.- Lead and manage the activities of work teams to manage social and affordable housing programs while operating effectively and efficiently at a strategic level within the organisation, including operational planning.- Operationalise Commonwealth and State Government initiatives and proposals that achieve sustainable housing outcomes through increased supply of social and affordable housing.- Develop and maintain high-level relationships with State agencies, peak bodies, community housing providers and the Commonwealth and liaise and negotiate with those stakeholders about increasing the supply of social and affordable housing.- Lead the coordination and management of new and ongoing social and affordable housing programs.- Provide timely and expert advice to Commonwealth and State agencies on new and ongoing social and affordable housing programs.- Effectively monitor and review national and international trends to ensure the Director-General, General Manager and the Housing Homelessness Services Leadership team are well informed on social and affordable housing issues and emerging trends.
